In the name of God Amen, I Stephen Webb of the town of
Hornellsville in the County of Steuben and the State of New
York do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner
and form as follows (vir) I give and bequeath to my dear beloved
wife Eunice that part of the lot of land on which I now live
that lies East of the publick road leading from Dansville to
Hornellsville supposed to contain about seven acres and a half
with all the appurtenances therein to belonging for her use and
disposal forever also the use and disposal of that part of the
lime lot so called that lies in the town of Dansville (vir)
beginning at the inner corner of the lot and run East to the
line of said lot thence South to the town line, thence on the
line of the lot to the place of beginning with all the
appurtenances thereunto belonging for her use and disposal
forever supposed to contain about fifty acres more on less.
Also the use of that part of the farm on which I now live that
lies between the publick road above mentioned and the Canisteo
River (except) two rods wide on the South side from the said road
to the Canisteo River and eight rods wide on the East part near
the said publick road containing one acre of land. Also the right
to cut and carry away from any part of the farm on which I now
live, all necessary fuel for her use as long as she remains my
widow. Also all of my personal property to her use and disposal
forever except such as is herein after disposed of also the use
rents and profits of the hool johm until my son Shepard shall
arrive to the age of twenty one years _ I give and bequeath unto
my son Shepard all the remainder part of my home farm except
such as bequeathed to my wife forever subject to the above
incumbencies with a good and sufficient team for farming work
to be taken from my personal property and the said Shepard
is hereby enjoined to sustain and keep in repair after he shall
come in possession of the above premises all the fences adjoining
land of which he mother may yet have the use of.
I give and bequeath unto my son Stephen Forty five acres
of land the lot he now lives on also my set of blacksmith tools.
I give and bequeath unto my son William one dollar.
I give and bequeath unto my son Daniel the remainder of
my lime lot so called being the North part in the town of Dansville
supposed to contain sixty five acres.
I give and bequeath unto my daughter Phebe Van Scoter
the use rents and profits of the undivided half of my forty four
acres of land in the town of Almond, Allegany County known by the
name of the Cory lot during her life time and the termination of
her life the same shall descend to her son Webb Van Scoter.
I give and bequeath unto my daughter Polly Ward twenty
acres of my lot in Ellicottville No. 94 the said twenty acres is
to be taken from that part that lies North of the publick road
leading from Ellicottville to Franklinville and adjoining said
road excepting the house that now stands on said twenty acres.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Cynthia Cory the
remainder of my lot of land No. 94 in the town of Ellicottville
together with the above reserved house with the land on which it
stands.
I give and bequeath unto my daughter Balsora the one equal
undivided half of my forty four acres of land in the town of
Almond, Allegany County, known by the name of the Cory lot with
an outsell equal to what the other daughters has had when she
shall arrive to the age of eighteen years, the outsell to be
taken from my personal property that I leave with my beloved wife.
And I do now revoke all former wills by me heretofore
made and do appoint Stephen Webb Jr., John Cory, and David
Ward to be Executors of this my last will and testament _ In
witness and testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this 14th day of February AD. One thousand and thirty one ( 14 Feb
1831 ).
