DEATH: Livingston County Historian's Office, Geneseo, New York
                         Dalton Enterprise newspaper
                         dated December 6, 1895
                         Page 2 reads:

                      DEATH: MRS. MARGARET HARDING.
The death of Mrs. Margaret Harding occured at 12 o'clock
on Sunday, Dec. 1st, at her home on Church street in the
village. Deceased was born inSaratoga county in 1818,
went to Howard, N.Y., about 1830, and was converted
under the preaching of Elder Sheardown in 1835 at that
place. She was married to C. L. Harding in 1840 at
Hornellsville, N.Y., and their wedding tour was to Nunda,
after which Mr. Harding took a course in medicine and
finished in 1846. They then moved to Nunda, where they
have since made it their permanent home. Mrs. Harding
then joined the Baptist church by letter, of which she
has been a very consistent member and a person who,
through her Christian fortitued, rose above any trouble
              that might come.
Mrs. Harding always welcomed the sick and aided the doctor
in any surgery when needed. In former years, when the
doctor was gone from home, she would take the turnkey and
extract a tooth for some sufferer.
In 1870 came the death of their son, aged 24 years,
who was a promising Christian young man, a member of the
same church with his father and mother. This death was
a severe blow to them. He was editor of the Democtrat,
published here at the time of his death.
The doctor's mother spent seventeen years with them,
the last nine being years of great care to Mrs. Harding.
Forty-nine years of married life was passed pleasantly
together, when suddenly he was snatched away--going out
from home in usual health and brought back a lifeless
form--from which shock she never fully recovered.
She fully relied on her niece, Mrs. LaMonte, who was
considered as a daughter, the remainder of her years, the
last three of which she was in failing health, her
appreciation and love for Mrs. LaMonte being often
expressed in her last sickness for her untiriing devotion
              to her.
Dr. Kneeland attended Mrs. Harding during the last
few months of her illness and was untiring in his efforts
to alleviate her sufferings, for which she was very
              greatful.
At last, on that beautiful Sabbath day, came the
longed-for sleep in Jesus that took away all pain--not
even a trace of suffering was left. It will long be
remembered by the dear ones who stood by her bedside
and saw the change from suffering to rest.
The funeral services, conducted by Revs. Phillips,
Carmichael, and Stevens, were held at the house on Tuesday,
after which her remains were laid to rest in Oakwood
              Cemetery.
                 "He giveth His beloved sleep."

Have not found any record at Nunda Town Clerk's Office for her burial.
