                            Steuben County, Bath, Surrogate Court Office
 
                           To the Surrogate of the County of Steuben:
                           The petition of Stephen Webb of Hornellsville
                           respectfully sheweth athat Eunice Webb then an
                           inhabitant of the county of Steuben died in the town
                           of Hornellsville in the county of Steuben on or
                           about the _____ day of October 1856; that she left
                           children ? petitioner,
                           Cynthia wife of John Corey of Burns, Allegany Co.,
                           Polly wife of David Ward of Ra ??? Cattaraugus Co.,
                           Balsora wife of Jacob Woolever of Hornellsville,
                           Shepard Webb of Hornellsville
                           The children of Phebe VanScoter, a deceased daughter
                           x also the children of William webb a drea??? son 
                           and the son of Daniel Webb a son of intestate who is
                              supposed to be dead
                           - her next of kin her- surviving; that she died from
                           sickness, and left no Will so far as your petitioner
                           has been able to discover or has heard; that in the
                           opinion of your petitioner the whole of the personal
                           property left by the said Euince Webb will not
                           amount in value, to more than $700
 
                           Your petitioner therefore prays that letters of 
                           administration may be granted according to law to
                           your petitioner.
